Corie

Corella developed her artistic skills as a child near the Puget Sound of the Pacific Northwest. She has studied fine art and graphic design in Washington state, New Mexico, and Texas, giving her well rounded exposure to various modern art movements. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art in Art and Design from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. Ms. Fairchild’s work includes photography, videography, graphic design, and – her favorite – fine art.

Corella’s artwork can be described as emotional and heart-felt. A huge fan of mixed media, Corella often incorporates the printed page into her pieces. While dominated with an amalgam of organic shapes, Corella’s work likewise indulges an old soul, fond of days gone by.

Ms. Corie, as her students call her, can often be found teaching children of all ages art theory, history, appreciation and technique. This is all in an effort to achieve her self-proclaimed calling as a facilitator for young ones to express themselves in a healthy and successful way through guided artistic expression.
Another favorite of Ms. Fairchild is volunteering her time and talent to promote funding for non-profit organizations. These organizations include the Avon 39 Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, the annual Via Colori street painting festival benefitting the children’s Center for Hearing and Speech, and the Kerrville Chalk Festival benefitting local civic art initiatives.

All of Corella’s endeavors in the art world and in life are motivated by her desire to spread the love in her heart to the world.
